"Aviation isn't just my livelihood, it's my passion!" | Jan Litwiński established the OpenSky Consulting Group in 2005 having spent over 33 years in the airline industry at all levels and in many different functions. He brings a unique combination of skills, experience and airline knowledge combined with an intimate understanding of the full service and low fares airline business models.
In 1992 Jan became President and CEO and until 2003 led the airline through a difficult period of market transformations, the successful process of modernization of the fleet and deep restructuring and partial privatisation of the company.
During Jan's presidency, LOT Polish Airlines became a STAR Alliance member. In 2003 he led the project of creating the first low-cost airline in Poland. He was a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Council of Human Resources Development.
From 1998 to 2003 Mr. Litwiński was a member of the Board of Governors of IATA. He has also been a member of various advisory boards in Poland, such as the Presidential Council for Sports and Tourism and the Prime Minister's Council for Tourism.
From 1993 to 2006 Mr Litwinski was Vice-President of the National Council of Aviation.
